First off I just want to say that I had been waiting for this day for forever. Today was the day that I was totally going to live through Holland. Today we were going to American Girl Doll for all of our first times. I wasn’t going to get a doll, I already have a life sized one, Holland. So naturally I dressed us up in matching tutus.
We celebrated Hollands “birthday” at the American Girl Cafe, which by the way if you want to do it its the best. It was not Hollands B-day but we ordered the birthday package, which includes cake and ice cream and gift bags for the kids. —If you are planning on going during the week you need to make your reservations a couple weeks in advanced, if going on a weekend a couple months.
It was the cutest lunch I had ever been too. They have your doll, or a borrowed one sit next to you in a high chair, they seriously think of everything. They even have a holder for your doll in the bathroom stalls just in case you brought your doll with you.
After lunch the kids picked out matching dolls, they got the Bitty Twins. Hudson was way more into than Holland. He wanted matching outfits for him too. He was very disappointed that they make matching outfits for the girls (Holland matching her doll, but not any so that boys can match their boy dolls)
It was such a fun and special day. Not even the rain could have ruined it. I hope to come back many more times, that is if Holland is up for it again:)
