Holland’s golden birthday is just around the corner, which has us super excited over here at the Bird house. The other night we were discussing birthday plans when Holland casually mentions by whispering in my ear that she really wants her birthday to be at Minnies House; as in at Disney Land, in California. We will have to see about that one 🙂
Holland has always had a special place in her heart for Minnie. All of her previous birthdays have been Minnie Mouse themed, as in all two of them. So why should this year be any different. And if this is her golden birthday why not make this the token birthday when she gets to actually meet Minnie Mouse?
This is sounding better by the moment, and I am totally on board except it’s kind of really late notice Holland to be bringing up the best idea ever, we will see what we can do.
In the mean time we are working on Hollands peddling skills. She got this bike for her birthday last year and since she is pretty “Minnie” herself. She is just finally getting the hang of it.
Holland loves that her bike has a basket in the front and that she can bring along with her everywhere she goes her Minnie Mouse blanket. She will stuff either her swimsuit or sandwich, and sometimes both under her blanket in the basket and take off in the neighborhood to see what kind of adventures the day has for her. If she sees a sprinkler she will get in her swimsuit and use her Minnie blanket as a towel. When she get hungry she will stop, spread her blanket on the grass and picnic. The possibilities and adventures are endless when you are “Minnie”.
One of my favorite things as a mom is watching my kids connect to the world around them while using their imagination.
