We started out in the trampoline area where we took a course on how to roll on our shoulders and how to do flips. We played in the pits and trampolines and then we went upstairs and took parcourse lessons.
Downstairs we went to the skate/scooter/bike parks where we were taught how to. I loved that they were actually teaching my children new skills. I also loved watching papa bird (dallin) in his element.
Outside we did the “wreck-tangle” the American Ninja Warrior course and had a blast.
Coming soon is indoor ski and snowboarding – looks like we need to come back for that 🙂
It really was such a fun time and great activity for the whole family.
One of our favorite days on our vacation was swimming with the dolphins. We stayed at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya and used our hotel credits and applied it to our excursion. With every night you stay you get hotel credits that you can use towards amazing experiences, or at the spa. You just have to pay 20%, transportation & for pictures (optional)
Its a wonderful affordable way to experience amazing opportunities.
This is our 3rd location doing the dolphin experience, but this was our favorite. We all boogie boarded with the dolphins and spent the afternoon playing and swimming along side her.
I highly recommend doing this experience if you ever are in Cancun.
I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #WalgreensBeautyUnfilteredcampaign, sponsored by Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own
I have been one busy mamma the last few weeks. We have been finalizing all our basement odds and ends as we have just finished our basement on top of packing my family to leave the country on a multi-trip destination vacation.
Packing 6 people on top of basement deadlines has taken all my mental and physical energy. I couldn’t be more excited to jump on a plane and to get the vacations started and to enjoy some much needed relaxation with the ones I love in the sun.
I hope you all will join us on our travels as this is the highlight of my blog. I live to travel with my family.
In preparing for our trip I have stocked up on beauty supplies at Walgreens. The store recently relaunched its Walgreens beauty brand– formerly Studio 35- with a consumer led approach. They have revamped their products from the inside out, focusing on ingredients and stronger claims. Walgreens beauty has a huge assortment of trusted, high quality essentials at an everyday value.
Since I’m heading on vacation, I picked up Walgreens beauty razors and I’m super impressed. Not only are they affordable, it’s been so long since my legs have felt this smooth. Beach where are you at? I’m beyond ready and excited if you can’t tell.
I also love the quality and price of the Walgreens beauty makeup sponge blenders.I believe in a clean sponge when applying my foundation. With prices like these it’s nice to know that I can switch them out often without breaking the bank.
Cleanliness in makeup tools and routine in washing your face is the secret to healthy looking and feeling skin. Like I learned when purchasing carpet. The most expensive doesn’t necessarily mean the most durable and stain resistant. You don’t need to get the most expensive facial products just get ones that feel good and your skin doesn’t negatively react to.
When it comes to skin care, I tried the Walgreens beauty Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, Facial Moisturizer, Facial Mist, and Body Lotion in cocoa & shea butter. The cleanser cleaned my face without stripping my skin while the moisturizer maximized my skin’s hydration and supple appearance thanks to its hyaluronic acid ingredient. Plus, the citrus smell is fresh and lovely! I’ve been slathering the body lotion after a bath/shower too and it works wonders on my skin because the formula is lightweight and soaks in quickly. For our trip, I’ll pack the Facial Mist to keep my makeup fresh in changing climates.
Take this advice, Walgreens beauty is just as high quality as the more premium brands (like Sephora and Ulta), but a fraction of the price. Over and over again Walgreens has taught me that quality isn’t always based on price tag.
What are your convenient store beauty hacks?
The thing about being brave is it doesn’t come with the absence of fear and hurt. Bravery is the ability to look fear and hurt in the face.
24 hrs ago my sweet 6-year-old Hudson came in my room holding his stomach. Oh dear, I thought we have the flu. I immediately take him to the bathroom. He is wincing and clenching his stomach so hard and screaming out in pain. I have him lift up his shirt to show me his stomach. His belly button is protruding and swollen. I google appendicitis. Everything I read tells me he should be feeling pain in his side not his navel. I head to the ER anyway. I start my car, wrap Hudson in a blanket and put him in the backseat. My husband stops me and says he’ll take him since I am still breastfeeding.
I watch, and silently pray as they blaze through the snow down the street. It’s killing me that I just let my first-born go to the hospital without me in that much pain. I immediately call my husband and I can hear Hudson screaming and vomiting.
30 mins later I get a text that says it is in fact his appendix and he will be getting surgery asap. Helpless I feel, completely helpless. Wishing I could take his place.
Hrs. go by and my Hudson is in recovery. I get a call and my husband says guess what? Hudson’s internal umbilical cord never dissolved and attached to his appendix. They also took that out during surgery. Leaving a total of 3 large incision on his belly.
We all have marks. Our heart is the map that shows us where we’re going, our bodies are the map that shows us where we’ve been.
Hudson came home from surgery. I go in his room & when I saw him, with shaky hands he lifted up his shirt to show me all that he had been through. In silence he then lifted up the sleeve of his shirt and showed me where they drew blood and placed his IV. We both placed our heads on his pillow held hands and wept.
He didn’t have to say it but I know he felt abandoned by me and confused at all of it. He has the sweetest temperament and is taking it easy. We feel so grateful for modern medicine and his amazing drs. that helped him in his desperate time of need.
And mostly the strong prompting I got, despite location of pain, to get my sweet Hudson to the emergency room.
Grateful for all the help & prayers we received yesterday.
From the bottom of my heart
& Hudson, I love you so much!
