Home from Vegas and straight to Strawberry Days, we wouldn’t miss it for the world. We love carnival season!!!
A few weeks ago I ordered my Pinnertest, drew some blood by pricking my finger. *disclaimer I had my neighbor do it for me because I’m too big of a chicken to do that to myself. We dropped my blood on a paper, sent it back through a prepaid label back to Pinnertest. And waited a couple days until my results came back to me via email.
Here are the results.
I knew the lobster one, I found that one out the hard way. I was at a steak house with Dallin, wearing a choker when I ordered some surf n’ turf. I was trying to swallow my lobster when all of a sudden my choker started getting really tight. My husband had to get a steak knife and cut it off my neck.
If you’ve wondered what foods you are intolerable too I highly recommend the Pinnertest. It’s super quick and will give you a piece of mind. I am going to be doing this to all my children as well so they won’t ever have a “lobster” experience like I did.
If you know me you know that I love being soccer mom. I grew up playing soccer and now I get to enjoy watching my husband coach my children while I cheer for them, cut the orange slices, and keep them hydrated on the sidelines. This past season both Hudson and Holland had the same color of jerseys and they both randomly chose to be the number 6.
There is nothing more entertaining than watching your kids play on the field. You get to see them use strategy and be aggressive in a positive way. Holland especially is fun to watch because you can tell she has brothers and a lot of them. She may be the smallest on the field, but watch out she is a quick one.
As much as we love to play soccer competitively and officially with a team and jersey, we also like to play soccer as a family whenever we can. We especially like to play soccer while we travel. It’s such a fun way to get in exercise and a great way to meet new friends as we invite them to play with us.
We also like to watch the International Champions Cup live whenever possible. Since the International Champions Cup features the best soccer clubs in the world, we couldn’t be more excited that 18 matches are here in the US this summer! For Father’s Day, we surprised Dad with tickets to see Manchester City vs Liverpool FC July 25th at the MetLife arena in New York City when we visit the shore this summer. It’s been years since we’ve spent time on the Jersey shore and visited New York, and we have never gone to an International Champions Cup live ALL together as a family, so to say were excited is an understatement. We can’t wait!!!!
Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
Today, I’m excited to be partnering with Secret to promote their Clinical Strength line. When I was in 6th grade I remember my mother taking me to the store to purchase my first deodorant stick. She recommended Secret. Just as my mother showed me the best when I was a child, I will do the same for my daughter when the time is right.
Ever since that day, Secret deodorant has been a staple in my purse, and bathroom drawer.
Whether you are a mother, a career women, or both, I’ve always been a big believer that women need to support each other, and that we can inspire and empower other women around them to do the same.
Motherhood is the most beautiful, physically demanding, and rewarding job in the world. I am fortunate to be surrounded by women in my life that have been strong examples of motherhood, femininity, and strength. Both my mother in law and mother had numerous children, 11 and 9 and did it all will style and grace.
In my professional career I have also been surrounded by amazing women and brands that champions feminine strength. I love how Secrets mission is to encourage women everywhere to stop settling and to reach higher, and they are asking women to hold their deodorant to the same high standards that they hold everything else to in life.
I use Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid just once for all-day strong wetness protection and am able to do so many things that I love on a daily basis all while staying dry all day long no matter what my busy day may bring me.

TBH we did not go to the lake today, infact we did this Sunday. We took a Sunday Sabbatical due to it being stake conference. Last week I almost passed out bc my dress was too tight, my kids were being extra wild and I was shallow breathing so I needed to leave. Extend church an hr and I’m out. So we took a little break and headed to the lake. Well that was after we chased waterfalls. I looked at my husband and said, “wow imagine if we took a sabbatical every sunday? -how much fun we could jam into the week.
But I also say the same thing about tithing. “imagine if I didn’t give 10% off my earnings back to the Lord?” How much more I would have?
Or would I?
I don’t need more, and I don’t need more fun. It’s just a little idea that slips in every once in a while, you know.
But I believe, not doctrine just Shannon preaching, that bc I do these things, the Sunday worships and the charitable contributions that’s what keeps me focused and helps me think outside of myself. It also helps me not take the other 6 days and 90% for granted.
