Lets just say this little boy should have felt very special all week. We partied all week and day in honor of him. Yesterdays Hulk Smash Birthday party was super last min. as we just got word that Grandma was watching all my brothers kids as they are packing to go to Texas, so we decided to throw a little smash cake celebration for the Britsy.
Proceeding the party Hudson got invited to go swimming with some cousins. I let him go. And about 5 mins after he left I got a sick feeling. I have never let him go to the public pool by himself. I started panicking, asking myself did I hug him long enough? What if something happens to him? Hudson is a very good swimmer, but I started to get nervous. I always think nobody can and will watch him as good as me, I am a little control freak. I have a long leash when I watch him, but get super nervous when others do.
I might be a little dramatic, but I have saved lives. I have been paged many times over the intercom in NJ to come run and give someone the heimlich while I am out in the woods. I even saved a little neighbor girl who was chocking on pepperoni’s in my parents ward, a man at a Steak House. Even Olivia when I used to watch her in the summers, I had to pull over from driving to perform the heimlich on the freeway. My husband calls me a first responder and/or What About Bob.
So help the women he marries, and I am starting to understand my mother-in-law a little more, no one can take care of my son like me 🙂 So amid a huge mess, I told everyone to stop what they were doing to put their swimsuits on and we went to the swimming pool. Poor Hudson we crashed his party. But long live Britons Birthday Party celebrations I say.
