**all costumes and decor were provided by Party City**
Lately, my number one goal is to hold baby boy in until after Easter. But if that doesn’t happen, I’d say my kids have had a pretty great Easter already 🙂
Party City made their Easter the other day when the kids were suprized with some fun pre-Easter treats.
We came home from preschool, I sent the little ones in while I cleaned out my mini van. I came in and the toddlers had gotten into the biggest boxes of fun! Hudson and Holland were dressed like bunnies, Briton was literally swimming in Jelly beans and tissue paper was flying everywhere. And sure enough, they had already opened up all their toys and Easter Baskets.
So kids if I am not here for Easter looks like you already had a pretty good one and I am so glad I got to participate in some fun 🙂
Tomorrow we have some more fun in-store as Briton & I are going to help out at the kids preschools Easter party, and then we will head straight to my dr’s appointment where we might just have to book an induction date, after Easter obviously! 🙂
Today I am teaming up with QALO wedding rings. This collaboration could not have come at a more perfect time for my husband and I – keep reading to find out why!
I am currently 9 months pregnant and about to pop. It seems like everything is getting a little tighter and rounder these days. And just like I have outgrown 99% of my wardrobe at this point in my pregnancy, I have also outgrown my wedding ring.
With the last stretch of my pregnancy, the last thing I want to be stretching out is my wedding ring. Sharing the same fear I have for my waist line, I also fear that my wedding ring will not shrink again and be able to go back down to it’s original size. Just as I have replaced my skinny jeans with maternity kangaroo pouch pants, I have replaced my wedding ring with a beautiful stackable ring set from QALO.
I am loving my new QALO functional wedding ring, and the fun stackable colors too. I chose to do a “something blue” inspired stackable ring. There are so many fun variations you can choose from with QALO. They come in five colors and four styles to mix and match to your outfit, personality or mood!
I plan to wear my new QALO ring even past my due date for several reasons, including no more accidentally scratching my kids with my beautiful raised diamond setting, and no more going ringless to the gym or on vacations.
QALO rings are perfect for my husband as well. When he goes to the gym he always ties his wedding ring to his sneaker in the laces when he lifts weights. It always makes me so nervous. I decided the QALO wedding ring was a great addition to his original and a way that he can still show his commitment to me at the gym while not having to worry about damaging his original wedding ring. From the office to the gym, yard work and kids, his QALO ring fits his life as does mine. As I gain and lose 30+ lbs, raise my kids, travel, and workout having a QALO silicone wedding ring is a great addition to my commitment and lifestyle.
What kind of rings do you wear? Tell me about them in the comments for a chance to win a prize package from QALO!

We are now into our second day of Spring Break. My joke is always “where’s the ‘Break’ in Spring Break?”
On Sunday we made a master list of all the activities the toddlers wanted to do over their break. Also all the things they wanted to do with me before I have the baby.
We took the list and cut it up into strips, folded all the papers, placed inside Hudson’s fisherman hat. And every night before we go to sleep we pick out an activity or two.
Monday- We went to the roller rink all day. After, the kids got to choose a Spring Break book at Barnes & Noble.
Tuesday – The kids have gymnastics and soccer, Briton chose to go to a pet store and look at puppies, and then off to Boss Baby, that is if it’s not sold out. Tuesdays are always a zoo at the theaters because all the movies are $5.
Speaking of the zoo. One of the activities is going to the zoo… I’m secretly hoping that one gets picked over the weekend when my husband can come too lol
Keeping it chill this Spring Break, but also loving my extra time with my kids. I almost forgot how life was when they were with me all day everyday, just the four of us.
We may have to change the timing of when we pick out our activities, maybe move it to the morning vs right before bedtime. My husband brought this to my attention when he payed me the biggest compliment aka called me out.
He was reading the kids their new books, I come in with the fisherman hat and the kids went nuts. He said do you realize our kids view you like a toy?
He then explained that the reason he does the putting to bed process and why I stay far away from it is because I wind them up and get them too excited for the morning.
So this Spring Break I am working on learning how to whisper and to put my kids to bed. It sounds silly, but I am not good at the bedtime scene. Dallin is amazing at it and has good bedside manors. I get hyper in these scenarios.
Super random, but this is our current dilemma. I am also writing it because I thought it was so funny and unfortunately accurate.
Special thanks to Clarins for sponsoring today’s post.
I am just about 9 months pregnant gaining weight rapidly, about a pound a week. I don’t mind the number on the scale as long as I can keep firm and toned during my pregnancy. In my experience it’s been easier to get back to my pre pregnancy body if I maintain muscle tone. My theory is the more I can do before baby, the less work I have to do when he gets here.
Clarins’ new Body Fit is that extra step in your fitness routine that you never knew you needed. A couple weeks ago, I started using Clarins’ new Body Fit cream along with my treadmill (walking at an incline) to fight and target my stubborn unwanted cellulite to get me ready for my baby moon. I used my cream during my trip & have continued to use the cream even after in hopes to prevent cellulite.
I’ve noticed a major improvement since using Clarins’ Body Fit cream. My legs haven’t felt this healthy in a long time. They look smoother and feel more firm, especially behind my thighs. I also love the great cooling sensation and how it dries quickly.
My skin started looking and feeling smoother in just a week. Clarins’ Body Fit cream is a light, non-oily texture with a pleasant fragrance and does an amazing job at correcting and preventing cellulite.
The ingredients in Clarins’ Body Fit stimulates fat release and limits fat storage. I have personally noticed the changes in my skin, especially in the thigh area, feeling lifted, smoother & firmer. I will definitely be using Clarins’ Body Fit post baby to help me tone and to get swimsuit ready, again.
I highly recommend Clarins’ Body Fit for all of you who are like me, who hate fighting gravity and cellulite.
**Warning… you will get addicted to this product and you will see results!**
There is nothing quite like a mother’s touch when you are feeling under the weather. Even at the age of 28, I still long to be taken care of by my mother when I’m not feeling my best.
We at the Bird House have had a serious case of spring fever – literal spring fever. Already having more than our fair share of coughs, sneezes, and earaches: you know, all the fun stuff the change of the weather brings.
As one season ends and another one begins, the sibling sleepovers don’t have to come to a close. My children love having sleepovers with one another, but if one has a cough it can mean a long night and longer day for all of us, which is why we love our Vicks® VapoRub™. I have found with a touch of love combined with Vicks® VapoRub™ all my little loves can still sleep together while we all get a good night’s rest.
When the coughs start up I will go to my medicine cabinet and grab the Vicks® VapoRub™. This is always the perfect way to end our day and start our good night’s rest. I take my pointer and middle finger and swirl a dollop of Vicks® VapoRub™. My kids all know what this means as they flip on their tummies and lift their shirts as I gently massage the Vicks® VapoRub™ onto their chests and backs.
Maybe when they are grown, they won’t associate with me any certain perfume, but rather the smell of Vicks® VapoRub™ and remember the way they all used to fit in a bed and the way their mother used to love them by a simple touch of love.
