Ski Utah

Not going to lie, skiing with a handful of kids is a lot of work. You may not get a lot of runs in, but it is great exercise.  One day we are going to easily all go down the slopes, but until then, we’ll be making the fondest of memories and laughing all the way.

*sometimes I wonder what my children are going to think of us as parents when they look back on these pictures? My parents were nuts? Or if they’ll follow in our footsteps?

Our family values our time skiing together, and love introducing our kids early, so they too will grow up loving it. Skiing is a lifelong sport.

You don’t have to take my word for it, there’s the perfect ski vacation waiting for you! We want you and your families to enjoy skiing and we believe that Utah is the best place to ski. If you get the chance to visit the 801, you have to visit one of Ski Utah’s 15 resorts it represents across Utah.

The Ski Utah Passport Program is your ticket to winter fun for your 5th and 6th graders!

Ski Utah’s 5th and 6th Grade Passport Program is completely digital. Children go up to the resort window, give their name and birthdate, the resort employee looks them up and they are ready to go! Quick and easy. 5th graders get 3 days (45 days total) and 6th graders get 1 day (15 days totally) at all 15 Utah resorts for a one-time fee of $45. The program is available to any 5th and 6th graders in the world! The Passport also provides hundreds of dollars in discounts on lessons, rentals, off hill activities and even accompanying adult lift tickets, a huge savings for families.

Flying in? There are 10! resorts within an hour of the airport, so it’s easy to try different mountains with the Passport program.

If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to reach out and ask. Here’s also a direct link (HERE) to their website. If you come to Utah you have to let me know, who knows maybe I’ll see you on the slopes!

Hiking The Y

July 16, 2018 By Birdalamode Leave a Comment

hiking backpack // baby carrier // my hiking boots

Not only did we hike the Y for our first time but we carried 3 children up the entire hike. Thank heavens the sky was brilliant and the view was breathtaking. Dallin and I both carried the babies in packs and alternated carrying Holland in our arms or on our backs. Defiantly a night to remember!

International Champions Cup

June 22, 2018 By Birdalamode Leave a Comment

If you know me you know that I love being soccer mom. I grew up playing soccer and now I get to enjoy watching my husband coach my children while I cheer for them, cut the orange slices, and keep them hydrated on the sidelines. This past season both Hudson and Holland had the same color of jerseys and they both randomly chose to be the number 6.

There is nothing more entertaining  than watching your kids play on the field. You get to see them use strategy and be aggressive in a positive way. Holland especially is fun to watch because you can tell she has brothers and a lot of them. She may be the smallest on the field, but watch out she is a quick one.

As much as we love to play soccer competitively and officially with a team and jersey, we also like to play soccer as a family whenever we can.  We especially like to play soccer while we travel. It’s such a fun way to get in exercise and a great way to meet new friends as we invite them to play with us.

We also like to watch the International Champions Cup live whenever possible. Since the International Champions Cup features the best soccer clubs in the world, we couldn’t be more excited that 18 matches are here in the US this summer! For Father’s Day, we surprised Dad with tickets to see Manchester City vs Liverpool FC July 25th at the MetLife arena in New York City when we visit the shore this summer. It’s been years since we’ve spent time on the Jersey shore and visited New York, and we have never gone to an International Champions Cup live ALL together as a family, so to say were excited is an understatement. We can’t wait!!!!

Who is playing near you? Make sure to check your city and grab tickets so you don’t miss out on this fun opportunity !!!!

Biking With My Babies

May 10, 2018 By Birdalamode 1 Comment

my blouse (shein) / sunglasses (prada) / belt (gucci) / jeans (paige) / clogs (mia) / bike (specialized step through expedition sport) / trailer (kidarooz) / baby bike seat (giant) / wicker bike basket (amazon) / bell (amazon) / hollands bike (specialized)
When we were looking for our home we heavily thought about if we could easily hop on our bikes and just go somewhere fun without a lot of hills and busy roads. We have put on lots of miles on our bikes and the seasons just begun. Our goal is to get 100 miles in before Labor Day, we are 20 miles in and its not even Memorial Day.

In Tune

March 29, 2018 By Birdalamode 1 Comment

my outfit (romwe)

Yesterday we went through all our moving boxes from our old home, Finally! We found our cute yoga mats layed them out and discovered two things.

  1. Briton is a baby yogi, and very flexible
  2. I lost all flexibility, especially in my back

It was fun playing and getting in tune with our bodies.

Because of this I decided to finally (3 weeks later) go in and get my stomach bug checked out once and for all. I xrayed my stomach and did labs last night testing all my liquids. I was so dehydrated they poked me several times and said they weren’t even getting blood on the needle. YIKES!

Excited to get this fixed once and for all. I thought it would just go away after a bit, but it’s not, but with the proper care, it will!
