Stich the ditch or was it ditch the stitch?
Stitch the ditch is the kind of quilt I am making. And ditching the quilt is almost what I did had it not been for Hudson. He was the one who wanted to make a quilt with me last October. We got started finishing our basement so we put the material in a bag until we were finished. After one sleepless night here we are just about finished. And its all because a little boy believed in me and because of youtube. Literally learned how to stitch the ditch in an 8 min tutorial 🙂
marble desk (down east -these are on of a kind so you have to call the stores individually and see if they have them, similar joss and main , another option ) / pink velvet chairs (joss and main) / black velvet chair (joss and main) / kids monogrammed pencil holder (pottery barn kids) / shelves (wayfair)
It’s been such a great week getting back on top of life. I had a few questions regarding my new office so I went ahead and linked it all above.
This space used to be our families nursery. It’s crazy that I
a. have an office after all these years
b. don’t have a nursery anymore
It’s been a weird week and my emotions have been all over the place knowing if this is really the end of the baby stage.
Brooklyn turns one next month – still trying to wrap my head around that. And I have ALWAYS been pregnant with my next baby by the time my youngest has their first birthday, always. So this is weird to me to not be and potentially to not ever be again.
Before we made the office an office we sold all our nursery furniture, all but our first crib that is. That was sold for a min. and then Dallin had a bidding war with the buyer and Dallin bought it back from him. WTFreak! -that was a funny story but I almost feel like you had to have been there to get the full effect. The guy who wanted to buy was like is this really happening? And I guess it really did lol so now I have a lovely crib just sitting in the middle of my gym.
Homework has all been caught up on, we were so behind and missed lots of school for Hudsons appendix and some traveling.
Briton & “Brooklyn” (Brooklyn really isn’t potty training we just like to see him crawl around the house in his little tightie whities) have been potty training themselves and its been so great. All except Briton streaking in the grocery store yelling I gotta PEE and running back into the bathroom for a second time, literally leaving a trail of clothing behind him. Buns out and all.
I never go into grocery stores anymore let alone with my children but we needed some St. Patricks Day decor, food coloring, more undies the works so I braved it. Ended up calling my husband to save me and he had to come help me, mostly because I needed help keeping the Britsy dressed in public.
Its been fun getting back into the swing of things and to have my instagram and blog back, unfortunately when I posted about my instagram I had thousands of failed attempts trying to get into my blog and one IP from Sweden snuck in grrrrr…….. they put a pop up add on my site. It’s been a headache and a half just to get it all cleaned up. I have had my blog completely secured, refreshed and on lock down since the incident.
I’m just excited to have my husband back in town, my blog and instagram all cleaned up and running smoothly and to be moving forward.
Many times this week I have reminded myself that its easy to smile in the high times of life, you know those little squares that I share all over my instagram feed. But the real test is being able to smile and get through the low times too. That is when your true colors show and what shapes us. They may not be documented and photographed, but those are the times in my life that make the pictures and highlights of my life that much more meaningful to me.
I hope you all have a great weekend and a Happy St. Patricks Day!!!
Feel free to share your favorite St. Patricks Day tradition with me as I am now trying to create memorable traditions for my young family.
Love you all!
