We stayed at the hotel I have stayed at the past couple of years for NY Fashion Week. I didn’t attend last year because when I flew out for it was the exact same day my Mother-In-Law found out how soon she would be passing. So I went to NJ instead of attending. (see post here http://birdalamode.com/more-salty-daze/)
But the last time I did attend I was very much pregnant with my little Briton. It really is so funny how much I have changed as a person since then and how much happiness having my third baby has brought me.
I am so much more relaxed. I wore flat shoes and a plastic baby diaper bag my entire trip, vs. designer pumps and purses.
My hair got rained on, which was actually my favorite part of my trip vs fussing over having perfect curls ect.
I have relaxed so much more I feel. We went shopping I want this Louis Vuitton it’s gorgeous, I tried it on and my husband said “this isn’t you”, I was like “what do you mean?” Maybe it was too fall looking, but he told me it was too fancy for me, and I proceed to say, “you mean it’s too good for me?” And he was like no, you are too good for it. You are going to get it, throw it in your closet and you and the kids are going to head to the pool, museums, parks ect. he was like when are we wearing this, hmmm maybe I need to plan more date nights? I then agreed and was like you couldn’t be more right. I need to either pick up my fancy, or I need to just continue playing and enjoying everyday to the fullest without worrying or fussing. So for now it’s on hold, but I fully intend on purchasing in the fall lol this could just be a summer vs fall convo after all lol
I spy with my little eye Angel Moroni! Hint he’s right smack dab in the middle. Look at the dish antenna and go to your 11 o’clock. (kiddie corner, diagonal left from dish)
My first time in D.C. with my kids I didn’t book a hotel with a pool and so now it is my number one requirement when booking hotels in cities. The Empire Hotel and The Parker Meridian are our go to’s in NYC.
