The annual “The Hills Are Alive” post (see last years post here)
Woke up super early for school registration. Not going to lie I am dragging my feet on this one. I can’t believe I am giving permission for my Hudson to go to school next year 8 hrs a day 5xs a week, thats ALOT of time away from me, and I’m not sure I’m ok with it. Maybe after summer I’ll be ready for it.
Geesh I am a baby over the littlest of things. Like when he looked at me and said will you guys not do anything fun without me when I go to school all day next year?
Hudson is my BIGGEST helper, and he is really going to be missed. It’s months away and I am already dreading it.
But on the positive side he gets to play on this super fun playground next year and he’s super excited about it. He’ll do great, it just hit me today that big changes will be happening in our little nest. I seriously love running around with ALL of them with me ALL the time. (emphasis on ALL) I just can’t even wrap my head around 40 hrs a week without him.
Yesterday we started our morning with church. Briton slept through 2 hrs on a rocking chair in nursery, it was adorable. We then went to Park City and got Holland a new snowsuit, like Brooklyn, she too had a growth spurt. We tried going skiing on Saturday and noticed that her pants hit just below her knee caps and the sleeves on her coat touched the top of her gloves. We then met up with our friends from Florida, well be coming back up this week for some slumber parties. And I can’t wait. Lets make this new week a great one!
my dress (asos) / blue earrings (asos) / blue sandals (tory burch) / blue kids sandals (freshly picked) / blue suspender shorts (janie and jack) / white tops (janie and jack) / blue hats (janie and jack) / hollands dress (jcrew) / brooklyns shoes (janie and jack)
I’d be blind if I didn’t recognize the hand of God that has been so visible in our lives the last couple weeks. What seemed like awful timing when Hudsons appendix got removed and just about burst, turned out to be such a blessing. All week I would just stop, pause and think about the what ifs and different scenarios it could have happened in. On the plane, in a foreign country, any place but at home would have been a scarier, different experience.
Without hesitation I canceled our Cancun trip. But rescheduled when Hudson’s dr. gave him the green light to go and some antibiotics to take with just in case.
So we went.
I saw miracles all week as his recovery went more than smoothly. We appreciated each other a little more on our trip making our time together that more special and a better experience.
Feeling especially grateful this Sunday for my family and for God watching out for my sweet children. I pray for that on the daily and will continue to do so for the remainder of my life. Because Lord knows I can’t do this job on my own.
We started out in the trampoline area where we took a course on how to roll on our shoulders and how to do flips. We played in the pits and trampolines and then we went upstairs and took parcourse lessons.
Downstairs we went to the skate/scooter/bike parks where we were taught how to. I loved that they were actually teaching my children new skills. I also loved watching papa bird (dallin) in his element.
Outside we did the “wreck-tangle” the American Ninja Warrior course and had a blast.
Coming soon is indoor ski and snowboarding – looks like we need to come back for that 🙂
It really was such a fun time and great activity for the whole family.
