We are now into our second day of Spring Break. My joke is always “where’s the ‘Break’ in Spring Break?”
On Sunday we made a master list of all the activities the toddlers wanted to do over their break. Also all the things they wanted to do with me before I have the baby.
We took the list and cut it up into strips, folded all the papers, placed inside Hudson’s fisherman hat. And every night before we go to sleep we pick out an activity or two.
Monday- We went to the roller rink all day. After, the kids got to choose a Spring Break book at Barnes & Noble.
Tuesday – The kids have gymnastics and soccer, Briton chose to go to a pet store and look at puppies, and then off to Boss Baby, that is if it’s not sold out. Tuesdays are always a zoo at the theaters because all the movies are $5.
Speaking of the zoo. One of the activities is going to the zoo… I’m secretly hoping that one gets picked over the weekend when my husband can come too lol
Keeping it chill this Spring Break, but also loving my extra time with my kids. I almost forgot how life was when they were with me all day everyday, just the four of us.
Side note…
We may have to change the timing of when we pick out our activities, maybe move it to the morning vs right before bedtime. My husband brought this to my attention when he payed me the biggest compliment aka called me out.
He was reading the kids their new books, I come in with the fisherman hat and the kids went nuts. He said do you realize our kids view you like a toy?
A toy?
He then explained that the reason he does the putting to bed process and why I stay far away from it is because I wind them up and get them too excited for the morning.
So this Spring Break I am working on learning how to whisper and to put my kids to bed. It sounds silly, but I am not good at the bedtime scene. Dallin is amazing at it and has good bedside manors. I get hyper in these scenarios.
Super random, but this is our current dilemma. I am also writing it because I thought it was so funny and unfortunately accurate.
