Transitioning Hudson from a crib to his big boy bed was such a scary idea, but surprisingly has turned out to be great. I love that as a family we can all lay in bed with Hudson and read him bedtime stories. It is so sweet to stroke his hair as he falls asleep while lying next to him, I sometimes fall asleep in the process because it gets so cozy. I feel that he is very safe in his bed, we did not put a box spring under his mattress, so his bed is low enough that he can easily get in and out of it. Whereas I was always nervous that my ninja baby was going to break his arm jumping out of his crib, which he could do. I still cannot believe that my tiny little guy sleeps in such a big bed, but it really has been for the best.
