Last week we went to “meet the teacher night” and found out that both Kindergarten & Preschool start a week later than the rest of the grades.
This got my mind thinking, we needed to celebrate!
We decided to head to Newport & Disney for one last family vacation before the new school year and while everyone else was in school, hello short lines.
We were able to stay at the Newport Coast Villas, we love this place so much. The kids center is nonstop fun. Science camp, beads, snow cones, cooking classes, tie-dye shirt making, picture frames, build-a-bear, movies / popcorn, arcades, ping-pong tournaments, pool games, you name it. My kids love all the activities and staff so much!
*I did a post on it in December when we were there hiding my 5 month baby bump -see post (here)
At Brooklyn’s first time to Disney, we were able to see the Solar Eclipse. Between the Solar Eclipse and the fireworks I realized that this world really is so small in the spectrum of things. Like I usually do when the park gets dark, and the fireworks light up the sky tears filled my eyes. Knowing there is no where else in the world I’d rather be with my family.
*I call this the marathon effect – after a much anticipated strenuous activity you’re so worn out, but accomplished so much, you can’t stop the tears from coming. My father used to run marathons and I remember crying with the runners as they crossed the finish line all shaky, bloody and worn. All of them were winners no matter what time they got, circling back to our scenario,it didn’t matter how many rides we got on. For the first time we went to Disney with our complete (?) family.
We had the best week. There was never a dull moment, and yet it was so relaxing. We are already planning and looking forward to doing it again soon.
Thanks everyone for following along on instagram & instastories if you have any questions let me know.
Have a good week!
