FYI: For all you basketball, BYU, Sacramento Kings, Jimmer Fredette, fans/lovers did you know Jimmer actually grew up about 10 mins away from Lake George. I was fortunate enough to be going to BYU at the same time he was. Those basketball games were unreal. I mean that kid could make a basket from unthinkable distances. I loved going to those games!
I was so impressed with Washington D.C., I felt the spirit of America so strong in the Lincoln Memorial. The steps were loud and full of people, but when we took the elevator up and went inside where Lincoln was, chills and a sense of pride overwhelmed me. Although filled with 1,000’s of people it was silent. I am so glad that we got to experience this as a family.
I have never experienced humidity and heat like I did in D.C. after we saw the sites all I wanted to do was get in a pool. I was bummed out that our hotel did not have a swimming pool, and further more not even a bathtub. After we showered up we went down stairs in the lobby and danced to a very talented artist. We did this until it was cool enough to walk outside. We walked into a couple other hotel lobbies that were silent. This confirmed to me that bathtub or not I would take a happening lobby any day. The absolute best part about the “W” hotel is their rooftop lounge. Where you can overlook the city, and the White House.
On Thursday night I had one of the best nights. Where to begin…We got a babysitter for starters and went on the best date ever! Our neighbor Dave Osmond was performing at Atlantic City along with Marie Osmond and John Schneider, Dallin contacted Dave and we got amazing seats along with backstage passes to meet and great all of these amazing talented artist!
Before the show we grabbed a quick bite at our favorite cheese steak restaurant “White House”. If you ever go there heads up “with or without” is refering to cheese. I had no idea the first time and felt really dumb when I asked “with or without what?”
Also the very first time I went to Atlantic City I was so confused, I was 19, and I was like “there are two Las Vegas’s?” LOL
But seriously, it’s crazy that Ocean City is next to a mini Las Vegas. I mean I should have figured this because my husbands family was in the Casino business, but still I was blown away!
