I 💜 it here ! .
The best way to describe Nantucket is Hallmark Movie meets Great Gatsby -my favorites 💕
Nantucket you are dreamier than I imagined!
Everyday we rode our bikes for miles and miles without even noticing. It was so great!
Off to celebrate 10! years of marriage with my amazing husband!
Before we left I had a little baby scare and I had to leave behind my breastfeeding baby. I had three rules going into this trip.
I was also nervous for my mom having to deal with school, sports, activities, school pictures, and a weening breastfeeding baby, but she did such an amazing job!
Dallin just said this morning, ” I love 5 star hotels, and everytime we leave our kids with your mom we come home to a 5 star hotel.” She cleaned everything! Even better than my cleaning ladies. My fridge has never sparkled so brite. She refolded all my kids clothes in their drawers, and folded my bathroom towels like a 5 star hotel. It actually makes my husband choke up every time because his and my mom are cut from the same cloth. They are/were professional homemakers. And we appreciate it so much!
We also came home to a talking Brooklyn. He can combine two words now. And his words are CLEAR!!! I guess once we got the ninny out of his mouth he started using it to speak? We also came home to my kids all in matching halloween jammies and they were all in their bed. I can’t even believe it!
I am so happy to report some good news! After a scare at Walmart my baby is still A-OK and just like that I am back with my Dr. Mostly because the hospital we were planning on delivering at does not have a high level niccu or the equipment if I were to have a 29+ week old baby. Yes I was freaking out! We decided to switch because my babies health and well-being are my number one concern.
When I was experiencing contractions, I lost my MP and started bleeding randomly in Wal-Mart I text my husband and he was like call original Dr. Im switching insurance Right Now! He was not about to mess around. I am so grateful everything is ok and to be in good hands, between my husband and my original dr. I know these two men truly care about me.
From my archive here are post after post about how stressed out I have been about switching hospitals and drs. Doesn’t life have a funny way of working things out?
After 7 months of worrying about what Dr. I should go to and what hospital I should deliver at and taking tours and trying to being ok with never meeting the same dr twice and not knowing who was going to be on call to deliver me, I guess it all just worked out after all.
I honestly can’t believe I get to deliver in the same hospital and have the same dr deliver my baby who delivered all my other children. I am feeling like everything is right in the world again and thankful baby girl is staying in 🙂
I get butterflies every time I walk by her room. We debated for months on what to do with her nursery and where to put her. I was going to make my office into her nursery, I had put Briton and Brooklyn both there, but I really do need an office so we vitod it. Then one night I was watching Father of the Bride part 2 and during the baby shower scene there they showed the new construction of the nursery “wing”. What if we transformed Hollands playroom into a nursery wing. And so it began.
I started with tearing out the carpet and laying down hardwood floor. Then putting up the wallpaper gifted by Anewall sold at Anthropologie. Delta Children generously gifted her nursery a crib, dresser, rocking chair (I’ll show you once my rug gets in) crib mattress, changing table, changing pad. Minted gifted all her nursery art to come together to make a beautiful room. The only problem was there was no room for her dresser, so what if her dresser is in the hallway lol. I kinda love it because diapers wont be in the same spot as where she sleeps?
Its feeling so real now that she has a room of her own.
Yesterday was beautiful! My mom gave the sweetest talk about the 3 bears of baptism. She also told one of my favorite stories about Hudson. How one day after school he came home and asked me to get his teacher a pair of gloves. Since she is the crossing guard at school too and he never sees her wearing gloves. He was worried her hands get cold. I love his sweet tender heart .
So many people came together to make yesterday special. I couldn’t of done it without them. The musical number was “Because” sung by our little cousin, she did so good. The pianist practiced all day the day before as I kinda sorta just sprung it on her. And she did so well! It was truly a beautiful day.
