Hi friends! First of all I want to say thank you for all your sweet messages and prayers they were felt and greatly appreciated. Its been a very crazy 48 hrs. Since the moment we landed from Orlando its been a roller coaster of emotion. We went from being excited to see the baby, to not seeing the baby, to going to MFM in the hospital with a scare of a ectopic pregnancy, which ended us up testing HCG for the next 48 hrs.
April 15: hcg 600
April 17: hcg 2400!
My number was supposed to double (1200) but it QUADRUPLED!!!
Dr called and said I just caught the baby super early and that my numbers are beautiful and super high!
I still don’t have a due date, all I know is that I am relieved! And so happy I get to be carrying another sweet baby.
What I’ve been googling about high number (see below)
******The body does not produce HCG; rather, it comes purely from the developing baby. Each developing baby secretes a normal amount of HCG, which is double the normal amount in cases of twins compared to single pregnancy. These hormones work collectively.
When expecting a twin, the HCG level increases dramatically during the first three months of pregnancy compared to single pregnancy, making it faster to detect HCG in blood and urine test. It doubles every 48 to 72 hours.
*I have no idea what to think, but that would be super interesting and mega hard! but super fun too ( I do love even numbers and I have a feeling this will most defiantly be my last! pregnancy. )
*More susceptable to having twins if you have them on moms side thats a BIG yes on my side, my mom and sisters all had twin pregnancies. If you’re over the age 30, tall, dairy in your diet (I mostly eat ice cream), the more pregnancies you have the higher the chance, sooooo……
All speculation but it’s sure a fun guessing game, you should see my husbands face as I type this lol It could very well be one and in that case 5 is going to sound so easy compared to 6. Ill keep you posted 🙂
