January in Utah has been so amazingly bright and sunny! How are all my East Coast readers doing? Hasn’t this Januaries weather been crazy? I remember the first time I visited New Jersey in the winter, there was a tiny snow storm, church was cancelled, the roads to New York were shut down, we missed our Broadway play ect. I was in complete shock! I grew up 4 miles from the base of Snow Bird, a ski resort here in Utah. I remember waking up to my Camry and shoveling no joke 4 feet of snow off of my car. Then I had an extension chord from my garage with a blow dryer attached and I had to blow dry my cars key hole because a layer of ice was over it. I still was able to pick up 4 girls in the morning and make it to dance by 6 am. This happened from November to March for me, no joke.
I remember in Jersey looking outside and thinking to myself my in laws are joking right? Roads are closed, church is canceled lol
But something that is different from say Utah compared to New Jersey is we are used to snow and prepared such as we have a full time snow plow staff on hand. Also New Jersey is surrounded by water the roads are bridges. Ice and bridges = risque business, and I am not talking the Tom Cruise kind.
So to all my east coasters be safe and enjoy your snow day:)
