Excitement is in the air as this week is spring break! Anyone going anywhere fun? I wish I was, but instead I will be staycationing in my home. I did pick up this little number from Cool~Change, Cool~Change is a Bali brand so I feel like I am in or going to Bali 🙂 it’s the perfect coverup. I’ve said this a number of times, but seriously I cannot tell you enough that a coverup with sleeves is the only way to go. It feels so good on your tanned skin. This particular cover up won me over with the tassels and the sequins trim. I also love the colors.
I am back! Thanks everyone for all your support as I took a break for a week. This was my first time ever not posting on my blog for a week, so thanks for letting me enjoy my family this last week while still supporting me. I am just quickly letting you know that I am back and that I will be posting regularly again, back to the grind, thank heavens I love my blog:) If you have any questions about my trip please let me know. Add a little flare to your pool game with a fun beach scarf. This post was inspired because I always like to tie a fun scarf to my beach bag for a pop of fun. My one scarf will get lots of mileage as I transition it from a suronge, head wrap to a shawl, towel, kite, and a variety of dresses. Today I have shown 7 ways to wear a beach scarf, but the possibilities are endless.
Today is the day we get to go to Atlantis for a family vacation. I couldn’t be more excited to be celebrating my family. Atlantis holds a special place in my heart, we started our family the last time we were here, and now I can’t wait to take the kids back. This will be the last big vacation we take as the 4 of us. Excited is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel. I just can’t wait to be there already!

Today I am shouting out my little brother. He is seriously amazing! I mean who looks like this? So this young man is my manny/photographer/personal grocery shopper and nutritionist he is also Hudson’s personal trainer. Hudson wakes up in the morning with him and does ab workouts on Youtube (he is the one that introduced 8 min abs to me).
Anyways I am so inspired by my brother. He goes to BYU full time and still looks like this. I see no signs of the Freshman 15 going on here. I am looking forward to trying out his diet this summer when I am going to try to lose about 30 lbs. (my average weight gain when I am pregnant)
He introduced the Ketosis diet to me, it is what he does to get super ripped, hence the pic and the 20-pack.
*my brother was forced/bribed and made to do this pic. b/c I have always been obsessed with his abs from the time he was little. We would always compare abs, he would obviously always have a way nicer tummy, but now I have a pic:) if you haven’t noticed I love my little brothers and making them do crazy things. ie purple shampoo canidate, cutting off my brothers mullet he had been growing out since before Hudson was born, and now take a pic of my other brothers abs lol
The Ketosis diet is a low carb diet he aims for 100g of carbs a day 80% protein and fats and 20% carbs, that includes sugars-even BBQ sauce, milk and yogurt have tons of hidden carbs.
Why my brother started to do this diet is because on his 2 year LDS mission he gained over 50 lbs and started getting stretch marks. He found out about this diet and he says he has never felt better and never had a diet work so drastically while getting the results he was looking for.
An average daily meal plan:
First off My brother wants to say that diet is way more important than exercise. You are what you eat!
16 oz. of water right when you wake up
breakfast: 3-4 eggs w/ wheat toast
mid morning snack: 30 grams whey protein mixed w/ water or skim milk
lunch: 4-6oz of chicken with seasoning not sauces(salt, pepper, garlic) and veggies(a bag of veggies assortment)
afternoon snack: handful of peanuts, beef jerky, cottage cheese, nonfat, low-fat greek yogurt, protein shake
dinner: any type of meat with a 1/4th cup of wheat rice
*don’t eat 3 hrs before bed
*drink a gallon of water a day
*if you have to have a post dinner snack do a whey protein shake
*you want to be eating every 2-3 hrs to keep the metabolism going
*30 mins of cardio a day will get you added results (he recommends Insanity

Today I am so excited to get to finally go somewhere. I have been pretty sick with my pregnancy and have been dying to go somewhere sunny. A couple days ago we decided to surprise the kiddos with a Disneyland trip. As I watched the weather, I slowly learned that it was not going to be all that sunny, besides the day we leave it’s supposed to get up to 75* F. Jokes on us. I had ordered this cute swim coverup in hopes that I would wear it this trip. Looks like I need to plan a trip a little further away.
Besides a let down on the weather, I am so-o-o excited to bundle up the kiddos and go to Disneyland tomorrow for their first time, we did World this summer and that was magical to say the least. That is why we have been itching to get back to Disney. Holland is beyond in love with Minnie Mouse and I cannot wait for her to see her. Hudson is excited to go to Cars Land, although he has never even seen the movie, he just saw a brochure lol
