Today I have some exciting news that I would like to share with you! I have recently broken a bad habit and it is all due to Nutrimom. I have been involved with Nutrimom for about a month now, and have taken full advantage of my personal one-on-one coach. I posted about Nutrimom a couple of weeks ago (for those of you who missed that post I’ll quickly catch you up on what Nutrimom is all about).
Nutrimom is a new Personal Coaching program for mothers, which specializes in the the first 1000 days of a child’s life. It also is there to help a mother through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and to help you as a mother build strong positive habits with your child through the first two years of their life. As a member I have access to a personal registered dietitian who wants to help me accomplish my goals for a healthy lifestyle for myself and for my family.
I had the best time getting to know Sarah, my one-on-one coach. She took a full hour getting to know me, my family, and my goals.
My biggest goal was to stop depending on caffeine when I am tired. Sarah broke down my diet for me, and has helped me see that nutrition plays more of an important role than I realized. My poor nutrition aka my diet Dr. Pepper addiction was not only negatively impacting me, but also making my newborn more restless.
Nutrimom has its own app that I could take pictures and share with Sarah what I wasn’t buying at the grocery store, my Dr. Pepper, and I could share what healthy choices I was making instead. Accountability is the best thing to keep me on track!
I am now feeling pretty powerful, and rested. I feel like I am stronger than my caffeine habit. I am for the first time in a long time “sleeping like a baby”.
I am truly grateful for that!!!
Low carb = low cal. That’s why it works. Plain and simple. When you rmoeve one whole macronutrient from your plate, you reduce your calories by approx 1/3rd. Was nothing to do with food type. You can lose weight eating pasta, or rice, or yams. So long as you run a calorie deficit. I eat lean protein, carbs, fat. I just eat less and I exercise more. I lost 30 lbs in 4 months and kept it off 2 yrs now. Eat from smaller plates. Ur eyes see a full plate, but ur eating less. Go walking too
