Drink Yourself Skinny Revision {My Diet}

January 24, 2016 By Shannon Bird 22 Comments

IMG_0179Hello everyone and welcome to my diet. Today I am sharing with you what I eat/drink everyday at least once, sometimes twice a day.

I started doing my “drink yourself skinny” diet after I had Holland. <<SEE POST HERE>> I was unable to eat due to paralysis of the face (Bells Palsy) and could only drink my calories. I lost the 30 lbs I had gained with Holland in two weeks.

I currently like the way I look, I am not trying to lose weight just stay consistent and tone up. These shakes seem to work for me. I like the taste and they keep me full so that I can get what I need to get done and most importantly I can enjoy my kids, I don’t worry about working out-I do that more for fun, and best of all I never gain weight while on a trip.

The Ingredients to success

*substitue protein powder for best tasting results*

prune juice preference (sunsweet prune juice)

The biggest secret of all Prune Juice. Yes add prune juice to your shake. It helps you stay “consistent”. This is especially helpful when traveling. You only need a little.

use Slim Fast it’s the best (chocolate, or vanilla)

One heaping scoop of protein powder or my personal fave Slim Fast. Slim Fast tastes 100 times better than protein powder especially this one 🙂

Don’t kid yourself use the whole banana, none of this half business please 🙂

Don’t go light on the peanut butter, one extra large dollop should do 🙂

I literally use a cup of ice and a cup of water 🙂

blender (blendtec)

Love this blender, but my word it is so loud 🙂 By far my most used kitchen tool!

Enjoy!

A normal day like stated above I eat one to two of these. One for breakfast and another for lunch. I’ll eat a snack as I am cooking dinner (around 4), then eat a big dinner and a little desert.

Not rocket science but it seems to work!

I have never liked the results from a diet more than the “diet” I am currently on. I hardly exercise, like maybe once a week – usually on Monday and then I get unmotivated lol -I am going to get better at that I swear.

I have transformed my body this is my before and afters it really is crazy how much I have changed.

130lbs to 115

I used to be a consistent 130 lbs. I worked out at least 30 mins a day and I never got the results I wanted. Nothing changed for me until I decided to change my diet. I went from eating a bowl or two of cereal for breakfast, going out to eat for lunch, working out,  and then having a big dinner.

Now I drink a shake or two a day, a snack, big dinner plus dessert and I am 15 lbs lighter.

*If I don’t have a shake for lunch I will have a PB&H on a tortilla for lunch with  some fruit and veggies.

I can lose weight from this diet, maybe skipping out on the peanut butter, or ditching dessert, but who wants to do that?

Plus any thinner than 115 for me starts negatively affecting my face it makes it gaunt and lifeless.

If you have any questions feel free to ask 🙂

Honestly, i did the calculations of your BMI and you are considered underweight. i DOn’t think it is healthy to be promoting a mostly liquid diet and it certainly can cause a lot of damage to girl and women readers who try so hard to lose or maintain weight. losing weight is difficult and requires enormous self control and for you to say otherwise is misleading. i think that your carefree attitude towards “drink yourself skinny” can be damaging and harmful for some of your readers. i would rather see you promoting a more HOLISTIC view on health and body image that helps others self esteem and confidence. using an image of you at the healthy WEIGHT of 130 (height just under 5’8″)as a :before” image is just plain offensive.

(NO IDEA WHY I CAN’T GET THIS OFF CAPS-LOCK. I’M NOT YELLING. 🙂

WHY ATTACK HER? SHE SHARED HER SUCCESS AND WHAT’S WORKED FOR HER, AND DIDN’T HOLD A GUN TO ANYONE’S HEAD. I, FOR ONE, GREATLY APPRECIATE HER ADVICE. THERE ARE SO MANY DIET TRENDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OUT THERE. AT LEAST THIS ONE IS FROM A REAL PERSON, NOT SOME PAID ENDORSEMENT OR IN-HOME catalog party gimic. LOSING WEIGHT IS DIFFICULT. I DON’T THINK SHE IMPLIED OTHERWISE. IF THIS HELPS ME SHED A FEW POUNDS AND STAY MOTIVATED TO KEEP LOSING WEIGHT – THERE’S NO HARM. THANK YOU, SHANNON, FOR SHARING THIS AND FOR MOTIVATING ME.
