May 27th might just be the greatest birthday date! It’s the kickoff to a long holiday weekend and the official kick off to public pools opening up. Although it was much to cold to go swimming on Saturday, you better believe we still ran around town in our “Baywatch” gear. Dallin and the kids were such great sports and Dallin felt very loved and special! This birthday party could not of been more perfect for my May 27th birthday boy!

Brooklyn’s blessing was the same day as my baby brothers mission farewell. Proceeding Jake’s farewell, we gathered as a family in my parents home and Dallin gave Brooklyn a beautiful / tender blessing.
What stood out most to me was the mention of mothers and how important of a roll a mother will be in Brooklyn’s life. How Brooklyn is blessed to have both mine and Dallin’s mothers influence & love him, even though he will never meet his Babba (Dallin’s mother) in this life he will know her. -I loved this part so much!
It was truly a beautiful day!
- I went ahead and briefly shared pics of my other three children’s blessing days as well because although they might of all physically had Dallin’s mom at theirs, something Brooklyn did not, her spirit was very much felt on Brooklyn’s blessing day.
Hudson’s blessing Day
The thing that stood out in Hudson’s blessing was the emphasis on Hudson being the oldest child and how big of impact he would have on his younger siblings. As a mother of one at the time, I remember sitting there thinking “does this mean I’m having more?” 🙂
Was so special as she was blessed with her cousin wearing a hand knit dress made by Dallin’s mother.
It was a beautiful, unforgettable day. See post here

Vegas with my babies.
Mothers Day, although wonderful, can be a hard holiday if you don’t have a mother to celebrate it with.
The last two Mothers Day’s we have purposely gone on vacations to be in a happy place during this particular hard weekend for my husband.
It was kind of spur of the moment, but we decided to spend this year in Las Vegas with all our babies.
It was a very quiet & relaxing week in Vegas. It was just what our little family needed. It was a very eye opening experience as it was our first time traveling as the six of us. We learned right away that we cannot travel unless we have two double strollers. So for my husbands birthday next week, that is exactly what I am getting him. One for him, one for me 🙂
My husband also made note of how our family dynamic has changed. We used to be able to take turns taking care of the children, but now it is 24/7 hands on from the both of us. The only taking turns going on is when we sleep. I call it the A // B schedule. One day I take the kids in the morning, Dallin takes care of the baby, I get a nap in the afternoon and then the next day we switch.
It’s a great and crazy time of life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The last time we had been to Vegas was when Holland was a brand new baby, and my word have things changed 🙂
Here is my current favorite song that pumped us up for Vegas…Baby…Vegas! 🙂

Is this really happening? Is today really the day?
I’ve been racking my mind where time has gone. At 11:45 I’ll be picking up Hudson from his last day ever of preschool!
I still remember when I first dropped off my little two year old Hudson for his first day of preschool at his adorable school. There is nowhere else I would put him. I wanted somewhere he could go that felt homey and very nurturing. I started him a little earlier than I expected but with having a new baby I wanted him to feel special too. And three years of preschool and three siblings later he is done.
And here I am in total disbelief…
Excited it’s now summer, but sad as we end the preshool era.
Quite possibly my favorite picture…ever! I love seeing what all my babies two weeks or younger looked like and to compare their sweet little features.
Yesterday we went to Brooklyn’s two week appointment and I am on cloud nine. I couldn’t be a happier mom.
He has grown 3 inches since birth (18 – 21) and went from weighing 6.15 lbs at birth, to 6.5 5 days post birth, and now at two weeks weighs a whopping 7.9 lbs!
We found out why I can only feed my baby via pumping, little Brooklyn is sure enough lip tied, just like 2 of his other siblings were. <<Man these genetics are strong>> 3/4 of my children have been lip tied, tongue tied, or both. Hollands wasn’t caught until she was almost 3! Hence her lack of weight gain and both my two oldest babies never sleeping for more than an hr at a time. Legit! They could never get a good grip or full feeding. This is why I am so thankful for my pump, because of it Brooklyn can get a full feeding and can sleep for a long period of time.
**if your baby has a hard time nursing check their mouth**
Still in baby heaven and getting the hang of having a newborn around the house. I love his sweet little self and how trusting he is in us to take care of him. He is so soft, he literally feels like velvet. And he smells like Heaven!
