Love at Home

January 24, 2018 By Shannon Bird Leave a Comment

Felt a major void when we took our Christmas decor down. The very next day I filled our home with lots of hearts, Snoopy, X’s & O’x and love, lots and lots of L.O.V.E.!

This years theme for my children is “love one another” so of course were going to go overboard with it the entire month of Febuary.

How we are preparing for it is I got a Valentines advent calendar and everyday for 14 days we are going to pull a scripture verse about love from the calendar and read together as a family. I am going to write a one lined love note to my children reminding them everyday what I love about them individually in their snoopy backpacks. Im also encouraging them to leave notes/valentines for one another in each others packs as well. Cupid will leave a treat in there too occasionally.

Do you have any fun Valentines traditions? I feel like this is the year my kids understand whats really going on and I have to step up my mom game. For instance, dinners and meals, holidays and traditions. My kids are growing and these are things I now really have to prepare for. No more “drive thru-ing” through the holidays and our meals anymore.
