If you ever get a chance to come to Nantucket make sure you visit here. It’s beautiful and peaceful!
We were going to stay at The Wauwinet but decided to stay at the White Elephant Village instead (there is a White Elephant Hotel and a Village we stayed at the Village)
I highly recommend staying where we stayed. We had breakfast and spent the morning at The Wauwinet and liked that it was close to the Sankety lighthouse but after that we were ready to get back to the White Elephant. Its extremely beautiful but extremely quiet and secluded.
I preferred the White Elephant bc you could bike all over town and the village. The beaches were great around the White Elephant too. If you have any questions on where to stay etc feel free to ask me.
Before we came on our trip for weeks we’ve been looking into getting me a new car. My minivan got hit at a soccer game and the driver took off. I have to replace the tires soon and its almost at 100,000 miles so we’ve been looking to replace it before putting more money into it. Every car I went into I just imagined what my kids would do it in a matter of seconds so I decided instead of getting a new car, we’d probably will destroy and instantly loose value on, I went for something that will appreciate in value. Can you guess what it is? I didn’t want to make a “big deal” about it. But I’m documenting it here for journal entry purposes. You did good Dallin 🙂
I 💜 it here ! .
The best way to describe Nantucket is Hallmark Movie meets Great Gatsby -my favorites 💕
Nantucket you are dreamier than I imagined!
Everyday we rode our bikes for miles and miles without even noticing. It was so great!
Off to celebrate 10! years of marriage with my amazing husband!
Before we left I had a little baby scare and I had to leave behind my breastfeeding baby. I had three rules going into this trip.
- we had to go somewhere with a good hospital (Nantucket just redid their hospital so its top tier, and did I mention its hecka cute! Grey shingles and white trim) I just didn’t want to be too far away from one just incase anything were to happen.
- I didn’t want to go somewhere I’d already been
- I didn’t want to just be in a swimsuit the entire time – see my post maternity swim bloopers to see how much I love being in a swimsuit when in the third trimester lol
I was also nervous for my mom having to deal with school, sports, activities, school pictures, and a weening breastfeeding baby, but she did such an amazing job!
Dallin just said this morning, ” I love 5 star hotels, and everytime we leave our kids with your mom we come home to a 5 star hotel.” She cleaned everything! Even better than my cleaning ladies. My fridge has never sparkled so brite. She refolded all my kids clothes in their drawers, and folded my bathroom towels like a 5 star hotel. It actually makes my husband choke up every time because his and my mom are cut from the same cloth. They are/were professional homemakers. And we appreciate it so much!
We also came home to a talking Brooklyn. He can combine two words now. And his words are CLEAR!!! I guess once we got the ninny out of his mouth he started using it to speak? We also came home to my kids all in matching halloween jammies and they were all in their bed. I can’t even believe it!
