-first of all how cute is shelly from @a.pinklife. She wears these overalls I ask where she got them she sends them to me along with a pink fluffy dress for Holland 🙂 like who does that???
Today I have my “big girl” pants on as I am off to make “big girl” decisions (pun totally intended) 🙂
I’m remodeling my kitchen which is a beautiful reminder of why I didn’t build in the first place. I hate making big decisions. Hence the multiple post on even choosing a baby name lol
I only have one rule. “Don’t make it worst than what it was, like when I traded in my Range Rover for my mini van” -we’ve now coined the term “the mini van effect”.
Which basically means I have a knack for taking high quality items and trading them in for lower quality items, while typically spending more money in the process… let me give you a few examples.
1.I just got rid of my Pottery Barn bedding, and replaced it with Target bedding. It’s actually adorable, Dallin disagrees full heartily with the quality and looks. But as soon as we got it, put it on our bed Holland climbed inside fell asleep. She was unknowingly chewing on gum, and it fell out sticking to the sheets…so looks like were keeping it.
2. Instead of making a fancy office nook in my bedroom I buy a sectional where my kids can sleep on if they have a nightmare or just want to take over more of our space 🙂
3.My husband gets me a beautiful new table with beautiful linen tufted chairs. Those chairs go back and now I force Dallin to sit on Ikea chairs, I did this while he was out of town obviously 🙂 I also immediately get a glass top made to put on top of the table so the kids don’t ruin it. Long story short I am afraid of myself because I always choose function over fashion every… single… time!
So my goal today is to look past the stage I am in and think WWDD <<What Would Dallin DO?>>
*I might just have to go pick him up and take him with me 🙂
WISH ME LUCK!!!
